Hearing Evaluations

A diagnostic hearing evaluation is the first step in determining the type, degree, configuration and symmetry of your hearing loss. Your evaluation includes a variety of measurements to rule out any medically treatable causes of hearing loss.

Audiologists are trained to administer comprehensive evaluations and interpret the results. After completion of the evaluation, patients are counselled regarding hearing loss, conservation and prevention. For those whose hearing loss is not medically reversible, a hearing aid may be beneficial. If testing reveals you are a candidate for a hearing aid, we will evaluate your lifestyle and personal goals before determining the style of aid best suited to improve your hearing loss. Your personal decision to wear a hearing aid, combined with realistic expectations, is the first step to advancing hearing.
